The Recreational Pilot Licence conversion in recognition of your RAAus Pilot Certificate is a relatively simple process with no exam required. It requires training to a GA standard to pass the RPL Flight Review.
Gaining your RPL with Command Flight Training will allow you to fly solo, in fair conditions, within 25 nautical miles of the aerodrome.

Comptency-based training means there are no minimum hours. Generally we find 3-5 hours is reasonable to convert a license to RPL from RPC with no endorsements.
We understand that RA-Aus schools can offer a varied level of training standard and in various types of aircraft. Therefore some students may take longer to adapt to the heavier GA aircraft as well as the stricter procedures when operating under CASA.
