LOW LEVEL RATING (LL)
Low Level Rating (LL)
A CASA-issued Low Level Rating allows the holder to conduct operations at altitudes below 500 feet above ground level (AGL) as long as there is a legitimate, valid requirement to do so.
​
Training takes approximately 5 hours (depending on student ability) and is typically conducted in a low-wing aircraft.
​
Requirement for the issue of a Low Level Rating:

Hold a Private Pilot Licence (PPL), Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), or Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL)

Minimum of 5 hours of low level instruction

Pass the Low Level Rating flight test
