COMMAND FLIGHT TRAINING
Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC)
We can offer both single and multi engine IPCs in our fleet of aircraft. We will organise the preparation, aircraft and examiner to ensure a straightforward process to achieve your IPC renewal.
Our IFR Aircraft (or bring your own):
- Grumman Tiger
- Piper Cherokee
- Piper Seneca II
- Beechcraft Baron E55
We have an IFR simulator available thanks to Southern Cross Flight Sim at Goolwa Airport. Perfect for cost-effective instrument practice before getting into the actual aircraft.
Most of our students opt to complete half of their IPC test in the simulator, with Dave Holbourn as the simulator examiner. This will cover the ground theory and 3D (ILS) portion of the IPC test and will ensure that you don't have to rely on the Adelaide ILS being available on the day of the flight test.
The second half of the test, the 2D approach, will be completed in the aircraft with a flight examiner. This is typically an RNAV approach at Kingscote or Renmark with a circling approach to land.
